Survival of childhood cancer patients is often described in specialized hospitals and/or institutions, but not in the general population. The survivals of childhood cancer survival during 2003-5 were investigated
using the ThaiPOG (Thai Pediatric Oncology Group) population-based registration data. The study subjects, at the age of 0–14 years. 2,817 childhood patients were diagnosed as having the first primary cancer between 2003-5. All childhood cancers were classified into 12 diagnostic groups according to the International Classification of Childhood Cancer based on the histology of the cancer. The overall survival was calculated by the Kaplan Meier method.
